Tarwi

The Andean lupine (Lupinus mutabilis Sweet.) is a marginal crop despite its high content of protein and oil. It has a nutritional value corresponding to soy bean (40% protein, 20% oil) and is able to fixate nitrogen (300 kg/ha).
